A comforting and creamy hot honey latte made with oat milk and cinnamon, perfect for a cozy warm drink that is easy to prepare and delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) freshly brewed medium roast coffee
  • 1 cup (240 ml) oat milk (barista-style recommended)
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons honey (raw or local)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus extra for garnish
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Brew about 1 cup (240 ml) of your favorite medium roast coffee using your preferred method.
  2. Pour 1 cup (240 ml) of oat milk into a small saucepan and gently warm over medium heat until hot but not boiling (about 150°F / 65°C).
  3. Mix in 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 1 to 2 tablespoons honey into the warm oat milk. Whisk constantly until honey dissolves and cinnamon is evenly distributed.
  4. Optional: Use a handheld frother to create creamy foam, or whisk vigorously for about 30 seconds to introduce air and texture.
  5. Pour the hot coffee into a mug, then slowly add the cinnamon honey oat milk, holding back the foam with a spoon. Spoon the foam on top.
  6. Finish with a sprinkle of extra cinnamon over the foam.

Notes

Warm the milk gently to avoid scorching and preserve sweetness. Whisk honey and cinnamon thoroughly to avoid clumps. Froth milk slowly for creamy texture. Substitute maple syrup for honey to make vegan. Prepare milk base ahead and refrigerate up to 2 days, reheat gently before use.
