A quick and easy edible bouquet made with fresh strawberries dipped in rich chocolate, perfect as a gift or party centerpiece that combines elegance and deliciousness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 medium-sized fresh strawberries, washed and thoroughly dried
  • 8 ounces (225 grams) high-quality semi-sweet or dark chocolate
  • 4 ounces (115 grams) white chocolate (optional, for drizzling)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable or coconut oil
  • Wooden skewers or bamboo sticks
  • Edible decorations (optional) such as sprinkles, crushed nuts, coconut flakes, or edible glitter
  • Floral foam or Styrofoam block
  • Decorative vase or container

Instructions

  1. Rinse and dry 24 medium strawberries thoroughly. Pat dry with paper towels and let air dry for a few minutes.
  2. Gently push a wooden skewer into the stem end of each strawberry, stopping just before the berry’s tip to avoid piercing through.
  3. Chop 8 ounces of semi-sweet or dark chocolate into small pieces. Place in a microwave-safe bowl with 1 tablespoon vegetable or coconut oil. Heat in 20-30 second bursts, stirring well between each, until smooth and glossy. Alternatively, melt over a double boiler.
  4. Hold each skewered strawberry by the stick and dip into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat evenly. Let excess chocolate drip back into the bowl. Place dipped strawberries on parchment paper-lined baking sheets and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes to set.
  5. In a separate bowl, melt 4 ounces of white chocolate using the same method. Once melted, drizzle over the set dark chocolate strawberries using a spoon or piping bag for decoration.
  6. While the white chocolate drizzle is still soft, sprinkle crushed nuts, coconut flakes, or edible glitter on a few strawberries for variety and texture.
  7. Cut floral foam or Styrofoam to fit snugly inside your chosen vase or container. Secure the foam at the bottom.
  8. Stick the skewered strawberries into the foam, starting from the center and working outwards. Vary the height and angle slightly for a natural, full bouquet look.
  9. Fill any gaps with greenery, mint leaves, or small flowers if desired. Keep the bouquet refrigerated until ready to serve, but allow it to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before eating for best flavor.

Notes

Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to prevent chocolate from seizing. Melt chocolate slowly and add oil to thin for a smooth, glossy finish. Arrange skewers at varying heights for a natural bouquet look. Store refrigerated and consume within 2 days for best texture. Floral foam can be substituted with crumpled aluminum foil wrapped in parchment paper if needed.
