A delicate and elegant Pink Lady gin cocktail featuring a silky foam top, balanced tartness, and floral notes. Perfect for special occasions or a sophisticated treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz (60 ml) London dry gin (e.g., Bombay Sapphire)
  • 1/2 oz (15 ml) apple brandy (Calvados) or apple schnapps
  • 3/4 oz (22 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz (15 ml) grenadine (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 large egg white (pasteurized recommended)
  • Ice cubes (about 4-5)
  • Lemon twist or maraschino cherry for garnish

Instructions

  1. Chill a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add gin, apple brandy, lemon juice, grenadine, and egg white to a cocktail shaker without ice.
  3. Dry shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to create foam.
  4. Add ice cubes to the shaker and shake hard for another 20-25 seconds to chill and thicken the foam.
  5. Strain the cocktail into the chilled glass, holding back the ice.
  6. Garnish with a lemon twist or maraschino cherry and serve immediately.

Notes

Use pasteurized egg whites or aquafaba for a vegan foam alternative. Fresh lemon juice is essential for the best flavor. Perform a dry shake before adding ice to create a rich foam. Serve immediately to enjoy the foam at its peak. Large clear ice cubes melt slower and keep the drink crisp. The cocktail mix (without egg white and ice) can be prepared up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerated.
