These mummy hot dog bites are a quick and easy Halloween treat made with just three ingredients. They’re perfect for parties, after-school snacks, or a fun dinner before trick-or-treating.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (8 count) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 hot dogs
  • Yellow mustard or ketchup (for eyes)
  • Optional: Cooking spray or butter (for greasing baking sheet)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough onto a cutting board. Press the seams together gently to create one large rectangle of dough.
  3. Cut the dough into thin strips, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch wide, using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  4. Wrap the hot dogs: Take one strip of dough and wrap it around a hot dog at a slight angle, leaving a small gap near the top for the eyes. Continue wrapping with another strip, overlapping slightly, until the hot dog is mostly covered. Repeat with all 8 hot dogs.
  5. Place the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between each.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the hot dogs are heated through.
  7. Let the mummies cool for 2-3 minutes on the baking sheet. Using a toothpick, dot two small dots of mustard or ketchup on the exposed hot dog area near the top to create eyes.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, keep crescent dough cold. Cut dough into thin strips for a better mummy look. Leave a gap for eyes. Don’t over-wrap. Can be prepared ahead and refrigerated or frozen unbaked.
