A quick and easy 5-ingredient creamy buffalo chicken dip that’s perfect for game day and crowd-pleasing with a spicy, creamy, and savory flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken (about 280 grams)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened (225 grams)
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (120 ml)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing (120 ml)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (100 grams)
  • Optional: sliced green onions or chopped celery for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place 8 ounces of softened cream cheese into a mixing bowl. If too firm, microwave in 10-second bursts until soft but not melted.
  3. Add 1/2 cup buffalo sauce and 1/2 cup ranch dressing to the cream cheese. Mix well until smooth and fully combined.
  4. Fold in 2 cups shredded cooked chicken until evenly coated.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly into an 8×8 inch baking dish and pat down gently.
  6. Sprinkle 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese generously over the top.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown on edges.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with sliced green onions or chopped celery before serving.

Notes

Soften cream cheese well before mixing to avoid lumps. Use rotisserie chicken for convenience and flavor. Watch baking time closely to prevent over-browning. For a golden crust, broil for last 1-2 minutes carefully. Add extra ranch or buffalo sauce if dip is too thick. Serve warm with celery sticks or tortilla chips.
