This creamy buffalo chicken ranch dip balances spicy buffalo sauce with cool, tangy ranch for an ultra-creamy, crowd-pleasing appetizer. Ready in just 20 minutes, it’s perfect for game days, parties, or a quick snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot Original)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 34 green onions, sliced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth using a hand mixer on low speed for about 1 minute.
  3. Add the shredded chicken, 1/4 cup of buffalo sauce, and 1/4 cup of ranch dressing to the bowl. Stir gently with a rubber spatula until just combined.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly into an 8×8 or 9×9 baking dish.
  5. Drizzle the remaining 1/4 cup of buffalo sauce over the top. Do not spread it.
  6. Drizzle the remaining 1/4 cup of ranch dressing over the top. Let it swirl naturally with the buffalo sauce.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the entire surface.
  8. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly and the cheese is melted and lightly golden around the edges.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 2-3 minutes.
  10. Garnish with sliced green onions and a pinch of black pepper. Serve immediately with chips, crackers, or veggie sticks.

Notes

For best texture, ensure cream cheese is fully softened. Shred chicken while warm for even mixing. Start checking dip at 15 minutes to avoid over-browning. If doubling the recipe, use two smaller dishes or bake for an extra 10-12 minutes.
