Ingredients

Scale
  • 4–5 medium apples (mix of Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, and Fuji)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 1 cup pretzels (mini twists, sticks, or pretzel crisps)
  • 1 cup pecans or walnuts (toasted if desired)
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 4–6 ounces brie or camembert (room temperature)
  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar (cubed or sliced)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or cream cheese (for dip)
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries or dried cherries
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs (for garnish)
  • Cinnamon sticks (for garnish)
  • Sea salt flakes (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Prep the apples: Wash and dry apples. Slice into thin wedges (8-10 slices per apple). Remove cores and seeds. Toss slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  2. Toast the nuts (optional): Toast pecans or walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Let cool completely.
  3. Prepare the dips: Pour caramel sauce into a small ramekin. Place honey or maple syrup in another small bowl. Mix Greek yogurt with 1 tablespoon honey and a pinch of cinnamon for the yogurt dip.
  4. Slice the cheese: Cut brie into wedges or leave whole if small. Cube sharp cheddar into bite-sized pieces. Let cheese sit at room temperature.
  5. Arrange the board: Place small bowls of dips on the board. Arrange apple slices in a fan pattern or scattered clusters. Add cheese in different spots. Fill gaps with pretzels, nuts, dried fruit, and chocolate.
  6. Add finishing touches: Drizzle extra caramel over apple slices. Sprinkle sea salt flakes over caramel sauce. Tuck in fresh rosemary sprigs and cinnamon sticks.
  7. Serve immediately: Best enjoyed within an hour of assembling.

Notes

Slice apples just before serving to prevent browning. Warm caramel slightly for easier drizzling. For best flavor, let cheese come to room temperature. Store leftovers separately.
