A quick and easy homemade version of Lunchables featuring turkey, cheese, and crackers, perfect for kids’ snacks and lunches. This recipe is customizable, wholesome, and kid-approved.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ounces (115 grams) sliced deli turkey breast, low-sodium if possible
  • 4 ounces (115 grams) mild cheese like Colby Jack, Havarti, or mild cheddar, sliced thinly
  • 2024 crackers (about 2 ounces or 60 grams), multigrain or plain buttery crackers
  • Optional: small handful of baby carrots or cucumber slices
  • Optional dip: small container of hummus or ranch dressing

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by clearing a clean cutting board and gathering all ingredients.
  2. Slice about 4 ounces (115 grams) of turkey breast into bite-sized pieces or thin strips.
  3. Slice 4 ounces (115 grams) of cheese into thin squares or rectangles roughly the size of the crackers.
  4. Measure out about 20-24 crackers (2 ounces or 60 grams) and arrange them neatly on your lunch container or plate.
  5. Assemble the Lunchables by layering turkey slices and cheese alongside crackers. You can stack turkey and cheese together or keep them separate.
  6. Add optional extras like baby carrots, cucumber slices, or a small container of dip if desired.
  7. Pack and store in airtight containers or bento boxes. Refrigerate if preparing ahead; keep crackers separate until ready to eat to maintain crunch.
  8. If desired, warm cheese-topped turkey slices in the microwave for 10-15 seconds to soften without melting.

Notes

Keep crackers separate from moist ingredients until ready to eat to avoid sogginess. Thinly slice turkey and cheese for easy snacking. Can be customized with different cheeses, crackers, and optional veggies or dips. Store in airtight containers and refrigerate for up to 2 days.
