A quick and easy snack featuring mini bagels spread with creamy cheese and paired with fresh fruit skewers, perfect for any occasion and loved by kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 mini bagels (plain or everything flavor)
  • 8 ounces (225 grams) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • Fresh fruit mix: strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, grapes, melon chunks (use seasonal fruit)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for drizzling)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Small wooden skewers, about 4-inch (10 cm) length

Instructions

  1. Place 8 ounces (225 grams) of cream cheese in a bowl and let it soften at room temperature for about 15 minutes. Alternatively, microwave for 10 seconds and stir to smooth out lumps.
  2. Cut each mini bagel in half horizontally, aiming for clean, even cuts.
  3. Wash all fruit thoroughly. Hull and quarter strawberries, halve grapes, and cut melon into bite-sized cubes.
  4. Assemble the skewers by starting with a half mini bagel, then add a piece of fruit, alternating to create a colorful pattern. Use 3-4 pieces per skewer. Optionally, tuck a small mint leaf between pieces.
  5. Spread a generous layer of cream cheese on each mini bagel half before skewering. Drizzle honey over the cream cheese on the platter if desired.
  6. Arrange the skewers on a serving platter and keep chilled until ready to serve.

Notes

Use whipped cream cheese for easier spreading. Pat fruit dry if very juicy to avoid sogginess. Do not overcrowd skewers to maintain balance. Keep skewers chilled until serving. Toast mini bagels lightly for a crunchier texture if desired. Substitute dairy-free cream cheese and gluten-free mini bagels for allergy-friendly options.
