These Sticky Honey Garlic Pork Chops are a quick, one-pan dinner that delivers sweet, savory, and garlicky flavor in under 30 minutes. Perfect for busy weeknights, they require simple pantry ingredients and minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pork chops (about 1-inch thick, bone-in or boneless)
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4–5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: sliced green onions, sesame seeds, red pepper flakes for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper. Let them sit at room temperature for 10 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey and soy sauce until smooth. Set aside.
  3. Mince the garlic cloves and set aside.
  4. Heat a large skillet (12-inch, preferably cast iron or stainless steel) over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and swirl to coat. When the oil shimmers, add the pork chops in a single layer. Sear undisturbed for 4-5 minutes until deep golden brown.
  5. Flip the pork chops using tongs and cook for another 3-4 minutes. The internal temperature should reach 135°F (57°C).
  6. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the minced garlic to the pan and stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Pour the honey-soy mixture into the skillet around the pork chops. Add the butter on top. Let bubble gently for 2-3 minutes, spooning the glaze over the chops as it thickens.
  8. Flip the chops once more to coat both sides. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). The glaze should be sticky and glossy.
  9. Remove the skillet from the heat. Let the pork chops rest in the pan for 2-3 minutes. Spoon extra sauce over the top before serving.

Notes

Pat pork chops dry for a good sear. Watch garlic closely to avoid burning. Use a meat thermometer for best results. If glaze gets too thick, add a splash of water or broth.
