A refreshing and easy summer drink combining sweet watermelon and tangy lime juice, perfect for hot days and casual gatherings.

  • 4 cups (600g) fresh, seedless watermelon chunks
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) fresh lime juice
  • 2 cups (480ml) cold filtered water
  • 12 tablespoons agave syrup, honey, or simple syrup (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Ice cubes (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Cut and cube about 4 cups (600g) of fresh, seedless watermelon.
  2. Squeeze fresh limes to get 1/4 cup (60ml) of juice.
  3. Add watermelon chunks, lime juice, cold filtered water, and sweetener into a blender.
  4. Blend on high speed for 1-2 minutes until smooth and vibrant pink.
  5. Optionally strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a pitcher.
  6. Stir in a pinch of salt and adjust sweetness or lime juice to taste.
  7. Chill for at least 30 minutes or serve immediately over ice cubes.

Notes

Use ripe watermelon for best sweetness. Fresh lime juice is essential for bright flavor. Straining is optional but recommended for a smooth texture. Add ice when serving rather than blending to avoid dilution. Can substitute sparkling water for a fizzy version. Sweetener is optional depending on watermelon sweetness.
