A quick and easy charcuterie board featuring a delightful combination of cured meats, cheeses, fresh berries, and honey, perfect for patriotic celebrations and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Prosciutto (thinly sliced)
  • Soppressata or Genoa salami
  • Brie or Camembert (soft, ripe)
  • Aged Cheddar or Manchego (firm, sliced)
  • Strawberries (hulled and halved)
  • Blueberries
  • Raspberries
  • Mild, runny honey (clover or wildflower)
  • Almonds or Marcona almonds, lightly toasted
  • Water crackers or multigrain crisps
  • Baguette slices, lightly toasted
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs
  • Olives (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse and gently pat dry all berries. Hull and halve strawberries for easy picking. Slice cheeses into bite-sized pieces or wedges, and arrange cured meats loosely rolled or folded for visual appeal.
  2. Place small bowls on the board first—one for honey, one for nuts, and another if using olives to keep sticky or oily ingredients contained.
  3. Start placing cheeses around the board, spacing them out. Fill in the spaces with rolled slices of prosciutto and salami to create a natural flow with variety in shapes and colors.
  4. Scatter berries in clusters around cheeses and meats. Sprinkle toasted almonds or Marcona almonds in open spots, adding texture and crunch.
  5. Just before serving, drizzle honey over the soft cheeses and some of the berries using a honey drizzler or spoon to create a sticky, shiny glaze.
  6. Tuck in fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs for aroma and a pop of green. Add crackers and toasted baguette slices around the edges or in a separate basket.

Notes

Keep berries and honey separate until serving to avoid sogginess. Toast nuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3-5 minutes, stirring often. Take cheeses out 20-30 minutes before assembling to soften. Avoid overcrowding the board to let each component shine. For gluten-free, swap crackers for gluten-free varieties or add extra nuts and fruit. For dairy-free, use plant-based cheeses and agave nectar instead of honey.
